Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan has accused the Armenian authorities of spreading disinformation about the border delimitation and demarcation process in Tavush Province, using law-enforcement agencies and proxies of the ruling Civil Contract party.

"They are disseminating contradictory information about the process, even within neighboring villages, in accordance with a carefully crafted and well-disguised plan," he wrote on Facebook on Monday.

"As a result, it often becomes difficult to trace the source of the information. In some cases, the topic is transformed to such an extent that its origins are nearly impossible to track.

"In short, the authorities have launched a large-scale information campaign ahead of another turmoil, disseminating widespread disinformation and imposing an information blockade in some areas," the Pativ Unem faction MP stated.
