Ex-ombudsman: Armenia's ruling party thrives on division
Former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan accused the leadership of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party of “dividing people, spreading hatred and fueling chaos” in Armenia and the Diaspora to maintain their grip on power.
“The party’s leadership and propaganda machine are the primary instigators and promoters of these vicious phenomena,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
"The Armenian parliament speaker’s recent remarks about the Artsakh people are yet another indication of this. Civil Contract thrives on division, drawing strength from it, just as the Azerbaijani authorities are empowered by promoting hostility toward Armenians,” Tatoyan stated.
