
Armenian parliament majority approves EU accession bill
The pro-government majority in the Armenian National Assembly on Wednesday approved a bill seeking to launch the process of Armenia’s accession to the European Union.
A total of 63 MPs from the ruling Civil Contract faction voted for it.
The opposition Pativ Unem faction voted against the bill, while the opposition Hayastan faction abstained from voting.
Additionally, Civil Contract deputies passed all other bills on the agenda of the parliament session regarding the Corruption Prevention Commission, funded pensions, defense, Armenia's budget system, police and others.
