Ruben Mkhitaryan to lead My Strong Community party list in Gyumri elections
Renowned producer and public figure Ruben Mkhitaryan will lead the My Strong Community party list in the upcoming municipal elections in Gyumri, Armenia's second largest city, scheduled for March 30.
"Staying true to its core values and emphasizing the importance of local governance, the My Strong Community party has decided to run in the Gyumri mayoral elections under the leadership of Ruben Mkhitaryan," its board chairman Spartak Tartikyan said in a statement on Friday.
"This decision comes naturally, given our long-standing ties and shared vision for the future. We are confident that Ruben Mkhitaryan, a principled figure and a dedicated native of Gyumri, has what it takes to be an effective and worthy mayor, serving Gyumri and its people to the best of his ability," reads the statement.
