Church explosion in Armenian town leaves priest injured
An emergency occurred in Armenia's Gegharkunik Province on Saturday.
The Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Service was alerted to an explosion at the Holy Mother of God Church in the town of Martuni.
According to Shamshyan.com, one fire and rescue crew was dispatched to the scene.
The explosion took place at the parish house adjacent to the church, damaging its front door and window. Fr. Hakob Barseghyan, the church priest, was injured in the blast and was taken to the Martuni Medical Center.
A criminal case has been launched into the explosion.
