Fire breaks out at military unit canteen in Armenia
A fire at the canteen of a military unit in Armenia has been extinguished, the Defense Ministry reported.
The fire broke out in the kitchen area on Wednesday morning.
No casualties were reported.
The causes of the fire and the extent of the material damage are under investigation.
Defense Ministry spokesperson Aram Torosyan later dismissed the claims that the fire was "inevitable" as the canteen was old.
"The canteen was renovated and refurnished in 2024," he said in a social media post.
