Drivers warned about icy roads in Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about road closures and icy conditions in Armenia.
The road from the Jermuk intersection to the Saravan-Zanger section is closed to trailer trucks. The Vardenyats Pass and roads in Syunik Province are also closed to trucks with trailers and are difficult to navigate for other vehicles.
Drivers are advised to watch for black ice on roads in Ararat and Gegharkunik Provinces, as well as along the M-4 highway. The use of winter tires is strongly recommended.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to trucks.
