Belarusian President arriving in Armenia
At the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is arriving in Armenia on an official visit, presidential press service reported.
A welcome ceremony for the President of Belarus will take place at the Presidential Palace on May 13, to be followed by a private meeting between the Presidents of the two countries as well as negotiations in the extended format with the participation of the official delegations. After negotiations, the parties will sign documents on the development and deepening of cooperation between Armenia and Belarus in a number of areas. Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Alexander Lukashenko will make a joint statement for the representatives of the mass media.
As part of his official visit to Armenia, the President of Belarus will visit the Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
In the evening, President Serzh Sargsyan will host an official dinner in honor of the President of Belarus and his delegation.
On May 14, President Lukashenko will visit the Armenian Nuclear Power Station and will participate in the inauguration of the Armenia-Belarus Trade Center. Later, the Presidents of Armenia and Belarus will attend the ceremony of consecration of the newly constructed Saint John the Baptist Church in Abovian town of Kotayk diocese.
