Armenian President to attend Ecumenical Prayer Service in Washington
A delegation led by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will head to the United States on Tuesday. The delegation will attend the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Vigen Sargsyan, head of the Presidential Administration, coordinator of the events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, told reporters on Monday.
Mr Sargsyan said that Ecumenical Prayer Service will be offered at the Washington National Cathedral. Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I will also be present at the event.
A series of commemoration events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide centenary will be held in the United States in May, he added.
