Turkish Gendarmerie issued statement over the murdered Armenian soldier case
“Ermenihaber” news website informs that Turkish Gendarmerie issued a statement over the murdered Armenian-Turkish 25-year-old soldier Sevak Shahin Balikci’s case. Turkish Gendarmerie reported that Sevak was murdered in an accidental shot while having a joke with his friend.
“On April 24 a group of soldiers from military unit located in Kozluk region of Batman province were sent to fix the broken fences and barricades near the unit. One of the soldiers, who was Sevak’s friend, has accidentally fired from this gun and deadly injured Sevak. Sevak Shahin was immediately taken to hospital, where he soon died.
The incident was soon reported to the military prosecutor’s office of Diarberkir. Investigation has been launched. The investigation revealed that the incident was not tendentious, thus the soldier who kiiled Sevak Shahin hasn’t been arrested.”
