Iran has agreed to let the U.N.'s atomic watchdog service monitoring cameras at Iranian nuclear sites, both sides said, after talks held on Sunday to try to ease a standoff between Tehran and the West. The U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency had accused Iran last week of stonewalling an investigation into past activities and jeopardising monitoring work, possibly complicating efforts to resume negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal.

Japan: One dead & another goes missing as two ships collide in Nagasaki province

A dry cargo collided with a small vessel off the coast of the Japanese city of Sasebo in the Southwestern Nagasaki prefecture. The incident left one person dead and another one missing. The collision took place on September 12 at about 3:30 am (local time), which left a small ship overturned. According to the reports, rescuers at the scene found the body of a man, whose death was confirmed by medical staff. There were also two other people aboard, including a 12-year-old, who was rescued by a passing ship.

Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo to run for French presidency

The Socialist mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, has announced a bid for the French presidency, saying that as a woman with working-class, immigrant roots she will try to repair the anger and divisions in French society and win back low-income workers disillusioned with the left. Hidalgo, 62, is the first female mayor of Paris and is best known for her campaign to reduce the number of cars in the French capital, increase the number of bike lanes and make the city greener.

Drake has credited John Lennon and Paul McCartney as co-writers on his long-awaited new album, Certified Lover Boy. The former Beatles are listed on the opening track, Champagne Poetry, for an interpolation of their song Michelle. Trove of missing ancient Mesopotamian artefacts found in Norway

Norwegian police said on Friday they had seized a large number of archaeological artefacts reported missing by Iraqi authorities, including what is presumed to be cuneiform tablets from ancient Mesopotamia. The objects were found by the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime (Oekokrim), which assisted Norway's Ministry of Culture in the search.

Groups of Afghan women brave Taliban-controlled streets to demand rights

A small group of Afghan women protested near the presidential palace in Kabul a day after women in the western Afghan city of Herat took to the streets in daring public demonstrations against Taliban restrictions on their right to work and seek education. Around 20 women with microphones gathered in the heart of Kabul on Friday under the watchful eyes of Taliban gunmen, who allowed the demonstration to proceed.

Second Afghan evacuee boy dies in Poland after eating toxic mushrooms

A second child of an Afghan family evacuated from Kabul to Poland has died after eating soup containing death cap mushrooms, which the family had unknowingly gathered in a forest outside their quarantine centre. The six-year-old boy received an emergency liver transplant but doctors were unable to save him. His five-year-old brother died on Thursday at Poland’s main children’s hospital in Warsaw, where both were treated.

It follows widespread criticism from privacy groups and others, worried that the on-device tracking set a dangerous precedent. Apple said that it had listened to the negative feedback and was reconsidering. There were concerns the system could be abused by authoritarian states.

Partially shredded Banksy painting to go back on sale
