Kansai Electric's chairman to resign over graft scandal

NHK said Kansai Electric’s board approved the resignation of Chairman Makoto Yagi at a meeting on Wednesday. Earlier, local media reported that Yagi had informed people at the firm of his intention to step down due to growing criticism following the scandal from the government, local authorities and the public.

IKEA recalls 8,539 baby bibs in China over choking hazard fears

The snap buttons of the Matvra baby bibs produced between Jan. 1, to Sept. 13 may fall off when pulled, posing choking risk if swallowed by a child, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in an online statement, citing a recall plan by IKEA.
