Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium will officially be renamed the Spotify Nou Camp. The deal with the music streaming giants will come into effect for next season. For the first time in its illustrious 65-year history, the ground will be rebranded. Spotify's logo will also appear on the front of both the men's and women's shirts.

The Rolling Stones will embark on a European tour this summer, playing stadiums and arenas, to mark their 60th anniversary as a band, the British rockers said on Monday. Called "SIXTY", the 14-show tour will kick off in Madrid on June 1 and travel to 10 countries in total, including Britain.

The Eiffel Tower grew by six metres on Tuesday when vertigo-defying engineers fitted a new radio antenna on top of the Paris monument with the aid of a helicopter. The tallest building in Paris, known affectionately as the Iron Lady, measures 330 metres in height after the new addition.

The prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia are travelling to Kyiv by train, the first foreign leaders to visit the Ukrainian capital since Russia invaded its neighbour last month. The son of Turkmenistan’s autocrat leader, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, has decisively won the presidential election, officials said on Tuesday, paving the way for hereditary succession in one of the world’s most tightly controlled countries. The Supreme Court has refused to allow Julian Assange latest appeal against extradition to the US. A court spokesman said Mr Assange's application did not raise "an arguable point of law". The decision is a major blow to his hopes to avoid extradition. The Wikileaks founder, 50, is wanted in the US over the publication thousands of classified files in 2010 and 2011. A three-year-old boy accidentally shot his mother dead as the family sat in their car in a parking lot at a supermarket in a suburb of Chicago, police said. The woman was shot on Saturday in Dolton and pronounced dead at hospital, police said. The family were sitting in their car outside a Food for Less store when the boy somehow found the gun and fired it, striking his mother, police said.

Armed militants killed at least eight people who were collecting water in a town in northern Burkina Faso on Monday morning, its mayor said, bringing the total killed in three days of violence in the restive area above 30.
