Iranian MP: Larijani hinted to Erdogan that Ankara was moving in a wrong way
The Iranian Majlis Speaker hinted to the Turkish PM that Ankara was moving in a wrong way, Mansour Haghighat-Pour, Vice Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, told Iran's semi-official news agency Fars in an interview.
Referring to the recent visits of Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, the Iranian MP said, in part, “During his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Iranian Majlis Speaker tried to make the Turkish officials understand that their policy on Syria is wrong.
Besides, Ali Larijani also seriously warned Erdogan against the deployment of the Patriot defense missiles near Turkey’s border with Syria as well as against Ankara’s support for Syrian opposition.”
While commenting on the meeting of the Iranian Majlis Speaker and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Vice Chairman of the Majlis Committee said, “Mr Assad stressed that his opponents should use political tribunes and not tanks as a means of expressing their disagreement.”
